Joint Program/ Sandwich Program

Growing globalisation and continues changes in the field of technology ask for new methods of teaching and training. VEDC Malang, PENS-ITS, Berufsakademie Stuttgart and companies developed the system of dual education as an innovative approach to these demands. This cooperation between the different institutions and interlocking between study and work periods lead to highly qualified and work-oriented graduates. Thus the Joint Program is distinguished by professionalism and practice-oriented education.

Joint Program - a model of success

Following advantages can be pointed out when compared to the conventional education system:

  • In this practice-oriented education the companies are integrated as active partners and play next to the theoretical education an important part in the qualification of the students
  • Students with appropriate results have the opportunity to continue and finish their studies at Berufsakademie Stuttgart
  • During less than four years of study-time, phases of theory - usually of 16 weeks duration - alternate with periods of on-the-job-training of equal duration
  • The combination of theoretical and practical training often leads to a take over of the successful graduate into a permanent employment
  • The training-staff of the partner-institutions (VEDC Malang, PENS-ITS, German academies) and professionals from companies provide a highly qualified expertise
